Cultural Sponsor

from $2,000.00

Cultural sponsors assist in bringing guest speakers, panelists, and workshop leaders to our festival from outside of our region by paying for their lodging, travel, and time.

—

In addition to logo recognition on all festival badges, tickets, website pages, and email communications, education sponsors are given the opportunity to set up an informational booth at LangFest for the full weekend of events, as well as the opportunity to address the participants at the workshop or panel they helped fund either with an informational presentation slide before the workshop, or as an in-person speaker. Cultural sponsors will also receive social media recognition alongside the promotion of the guest they helped bring to our event, through LangFest and Sepia Language Study channels.

Sponsors may select the category of guest they wish to sponsor:

  • Professional - Someone who works with languages in an interesting way and who is uniquely qualified to talk about their approach/experience/methodology as it compares to local perspectives

  • Ambassador - Someone who is from the country/culture being represented and invited to Vancouver to share it with us in an immersive way (artisans, dancers, musicians, cooks)

  • Academic/Researcher - Someone (a professor or postgraduate) involved in generating new information in a field related to language or linguistics invited to present their findings in a lecture

  • Keynote/Headliner - Someone with name recognition in the language world, likely to bring more people to our festival and draw large crowds when giving talks, meet and greets, or workshops relative to their niche.
